The Division of Energy, in association with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), is hosting a series of game show nights aimed at increasing public awareness of renewable energy and energy security issues in Barbados.

Dubbed the Flip The Switch Challenge, the activity is being held at schools and community centres around the island. Interested persons are invited to visit the Smart Energy Barbados and Energy Efficient Barbados Facebook and Instagram pages for clues to win prizes at each of the 10 challenges.

The events are designed to entertain, as well as provide information about upcoming community training for persons interested in career opportunities in the renewable energy sector.

Game show nights will be held at Trents Community Centre, St. James, tomorrow, Tuesday, March 21, and The Alexandra School, St. Peter, on Thursday, March 23.

Next week, game shows will come off at The Alleyne School, Belleplaine,  St. Andrew, on Monday, March 27, at Queen’s College, Husbands, St. James, on Tuesday, March 28, and at Bridgefield Pavilion, St. Thomas, on Thursday, March 30.

The competition’s finale takes place on Monday, April 3, at the Valley Community Centre, St. George. The shows will run from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
