There has been a slight increase in the price of gasoline.

Effective midnight, Monday, March 2, the retail price of gasoline will be increased by two cents, from $1.88 per litre, to $1.90 per litre. The price of diesel and kerosene has been adjusted downwards by 3 cents and 11 cents, respectively and will now be retailed at $1.65 and 93 cents per litre.  

Last February 1, the price of gasoline, diesel and kerosene was increased in keeping with the rising cost of crude oil on the international market.  

At a meeting on June 5, 2008, cabinet instituted a mechanism to adjust petroleum prices on a monthly basis in keeping with international trends related to the pricing of petroleum products.
