National Senior Games VIP Ticket Price Correction
Members of the public are advised that the VIP tickets for the opening day of the National Senior Games, on Saturday, April 26, indicate the incorrect time for start of the event.
The Games will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, and patrons are also being encouraged to view the Torch Run which begins at 9:15 a.m. at the National Assistance Board, Country Road, St. Michael. The Games will run from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the following day, Sunday, April 27.
The Ministry of Social Care, Constituency Empowerment and Community Development has apologised for any inconvenience caused.
Watch Torch Run, Wear Colours For National Senior Games
Persons attending this year???s National Senior Games finals have been encouraged to also come out for the Torch Run and to wear their allocated zone colours to the Games, which will be held later this month.
The Torch Run, which will take place on Saturday, April 26, will begin at the National Assistance Board, Country Road, proceed along Roebuck Street to the James Tudor Roundabout, travel to Harmony Hall, Hindsbury Road, Stadium Hill and Waterford, to finish at the National Stadium.
Those attending the Games may also show their team spirit by wearing their zone colour. The Northern Zone???s (St. Lucy, St. Peter, St. Andrew, St. Joseph, St. James North and St. James Central) colour is blue; while those from the Western Zone (St. James South, St. Michael West, St. Michael West Central, St. Michael North East, St. Michael North West and St. Michael North) should wear green.
Orange will be the colour for the Eastern Zone (St. Philip South, St. Philip West, St. Philip North, St. John, Ch. Ch. East Central and Ch. Ch. East); while those from the Central Zone ??? St. George North, St. George South, St. Thomas, St. Michael Central, St. Michael East and St. Michael South Central ??? should wear red.
Those from the Southern Zone (Christ Church South, Christ Church West Central, Christ Church West, St. Michael South, St. Michael South East and City of Bridgetown) should wear yellow.??The National Senior Games will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 26 and from 1:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 27.
