Information Session For USA-Bound Students

Individuals who have been accepted to study in the United States of America (USA) are encouraged to attend an information session at the Barbados Community College (BCC), next Thursday June 12.

The EducationUSA Centre at the BCC will host the session entitled: Study in the USA – Applying for your Student Visa, from 5:00 p.m. in the Counselling & Placement Centre of the College, at Howell???s Cross Road, St Michael.

Prospective students should reserve a place by emailing Faith Callender, EducationUSA Adviser at the Centre, at faith.callender@bcc.edu.bb.

The deadline for registration is Wednesday, June 11, at 4:00 p.m.

St. Michael Parish Talent Show To Be Held Sunday, June 22

The St. Michael Parish Independence Committee will host its parish talent show entitled, Make Me Famous, on Sunday, June 22, at the Ellerslie Secondary School, Black Rock, St. Michael.

Starting at 5:00 p.m., the event will feature the performing talents of residents, as well as guest artistes Reactive Squad HD and G-Syndicate.

Everyone is encouraged to attend this Bajan extravaganza and support the local talent. Admission for adults is $5 and children under 12 years are free.

Craftworks Fair On At The Museum

Everyone is invited to an arts and craft fair entitled Craftworks: Celebrating Barbadian Craft and Culture, on Saturday, June 21, at the Barbados Museum and Historical Society (BMHS), Dalkeith Road, St. Michael.

Scheduled to start at 10:00 a.m. and end at 6:00 p.m., it is being organised by the BMHS, the National Cultural Foundation and the Barbados Investment Development Cooperation.

This family event will feature the best from Barbadian artists and craft persons. There will also be a Kids Zone for children and a food court serving Bajan cuisine. The museum gallery will also be open to the public.??Admission is free.
