Fogging Exercise Tomorrow

The Ministry of Health???s Vector Control Unit will be conducting a fogging exercise in Crystal Heights, St. James, and its environs, on Thursday, June 26, beginning at 4:30 p.m.

Residents are asked to open their windows and doors to allow the fog to circulate.

They should also ensure that there is no stagnant water on their properties.

Registration Opens For Camp Pride 2014

Members of the public are invited to register for Camp Pride, a summer camp targeted at children with diabetes and hosted by the Diabetes Association of Barbados.

This year???s camp will be held at the Springer Memorial Secondary School, Government Hill, St. Michael, from July 21 to August 1, between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. each day.

Campers must be between five and 16 years old. Interested persons may call 427-9338 or e-mail info@diabetes.bb, for more information.

Chikungunya Lecture Saturday

The Environmental Health Department of the Eunice Gibson Polyclinic will host a health education lecture on Chikungunya and its Prevention, on Saturday, June 28, at the Bush Hall Community Centre, Bush Hall, St. Michael.The lecture will run from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

A special invitation is extended to residents of Bush Hall Yard Gap and the surrounding communities, including Alleyne???s Land, Promenade Road, Kew Road, Spooner???s Hill and Accommodation Road.
