Barbadians will soon get another opportunity to hear how they can improve their productivity, when The Productivity Council hosts its GET UP Programme.

The Getting Everyone to Understand Productivity (GET UP) half-day workshops will be held every Tuesday, from February 17 to March 24, at the Council???s Baobab Tower, Warrens, St. Michael, headquarters.

Public and private sector organisations and members of the public are encouraged to register now for the sessions by calling Roseann Morris at the Council at 626-9416.

Participants will be exposed to a number of areas, namely Productivity Awareness, Service Excellence, Communication, Work Ethics and Teamwork.??

Describing the sessions as highly informative and interactive, Head of Training and Development at the Council, Shawn Callender, said they were geared towards reinforcing the urgency with which all employees, employers and stakeholders need to approach their personal and professional productivity, particularly in light of the current challenges.

Over 2,000 people have already been trained under the GET UP Programme, which was launched in 2013 to give employees and employers a better understanding of the subject matter so they could improve their productivity levels.

Mr. Callender pointed out that the Council had received a ???tremendous response??? to the programme. ???Frontline, supervisory and management staff have participated in the training sessions and the Council has received positive feedback from them. Employers said they have seen some improvement in the performance of their employees since they have attended the sessions,??? he declared.
