The Gordon Cummins District Hospital has invited members of the public to join in its celebrations for Senior Citizens??? Month as it hosts a week of activities from Sunday, September 15, to Saturday, September 21.
On Sunday, there will be a church service at the Sharon Moravian Church, St. Thomas, beginning at 9:30 a.m. The following day, Monday, September 16, will be a Social Day when visitors will be treated to music, dance and refreshments from 10:30 a.m. until noon.
Patients will be in the spotlight on Wednesday, September 18, beginning at 2.00 p.m. as they are treated to a day of pampering from nurses who will give them manicures and haircuts as well as style their hair.
The Hospital???s picnic will be held on Thursday, September 19, at King George V Memorial Park in St. Philip, starting at 11:30 a.m.
The Week of activities concludes Saturday, September 21, at 3:00 p.m. with performances by the Royal Barbados Police Force Band and the Barbados Landship. Residents will also use the opportunity to showcase their talents.
