In an effort to address the escalating illicit drug problem threatening the region, the Barbados Government and the Organization of American States (OAS) will join forces to investigate Internet sales of drugs.

It will come in the form of a regional training seminar entitled Investigation of the Sale of Drugs over the Internet, and will be held at the Hilton Barbados from April 16 to 19.

Facilitated by the OAS, through the Inter-American Drug Abuse Control Commission and the National Council on Substance Abuse (NCSA), the seminar will seek to provide participants with practical and systematic instruction, as well as exposure to methods and tools that could assist them to identify, monitor and investigate the sale of drugs over the internet.

Specialists from the Police Force of Sweden and the Federal Criminal Police Force of Germany will conduct the training sessions.
