When Parliament meets tomorrow, Tuesday, February 2, Minister of Housing and Lands, Michael Lashley, will move a Resolution for government to compulsorily acquire land at Applewhaites, St George, and Blackmans and Easy Hall, in St. Joseph.

He will also seek to obtain 40 acres of property in St. Thomas and Vineyard in St. Philip. The land will be used for residential purposes.

The measure is in accordance with Section Five of the Land Acquisition Act. Cap. 228.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Home Affairs, Freundel Stuart is expected to move the First Reading of the Penal System Reform (Amendment) Bill, 2010.

Meanwhile, Minister of Community Development and Culture, Steve Blackett will table the First reading of the Archives (Amendment) Bill, 2010.
