Governor-General Sir Elliott Belgrave and Lady Belgrave brought some Christmas cheer to the Paediatric Ward of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, last Thursday, when they visited patients and distributed gifts.
Smiles were in abundance as Sir Elliott and his wife, accompanied by Minister of Health, Donville Inniss, Chief Medical Officer, Joy St. John, Hospital CEO, Dexter James and Head of Paediatrics, Dr. Clyde Cave, went from bed to bed greeting the little ones – many of whom will be spending Christmas away from home.
Students of The St. Michael School provided the perfect yuletide atmosphere, as they serenaded the Governor-General and the young patients with popular Christmas songs. ??The visit was the first of three stops for Sir Elliott at health care facilities.
