Third form students selecting subject options for the Caribbean Examinations Council’s (CXC) programme of study, as well as fifth formers needing a second chance "to review their options" will be the focus of the next career showcase of the Barbados Association of Guidance Counsellors.

Entitled: Embrace the Opportunity, the sixth National Career Showcase is slated for the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre, from Wednesday, April 20, to Thursday, April 21. It will run each day from 9:00 a.m. to noon, and then again from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m.

All private and public secondary schools have been invited to attend.?? The event is expected to attract approximately 5,000 secondary school students, as well as others from tertiary institutions. Parents have also been encouraged to visit the booths and be part of their children’s career exploration.

A representative of the Ministry Education and Human Resource Development will deliver the feature address at 9:00 a.m.

Key sponsors of the career showcase are the Ministry of Family, Culture, Sports and Youth, the Caribbean Development Bank, the Ministry of Labour, Barbados Light & Power Co. Ltd. and the Student Revolving Loan Fund.
