The Barbados National Registry will host a free public lecture on Heart Attack, Stroke and Cancer on Friday, April 5, at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre, Two Mile Hill, St. Michael.

The event, one of the activities to mark its 10th anniversary, will be an interactive session, which will test knowledge, discuss symptoms and highlight the true costs of these non-communicable diseases.

It begins at 6:00 p.m. with a 15-minute interactive survey of health knowledge.  At 6:15, there will be a presentation by Professor Karl Theodore of the Centre for Health Economics, UWI, St. Augustine Campus.

This will be followed at 7:00 by an hour-long session highlighting symptoms, and advising when help should be sought.

For more information, interested persons may visit the BNR website.  They may also contact Shelly-Ann Forde or Karen Greene at 426-6416, or e-mail bnr@cavehill.uwi.edu.
