Effective midnight, September 18, the retail price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) will increase from $169.86 per 100-lb cylinder to $176.66 – an increase of $6.80. The 25-lb cylinder, which was retailed at $45.11, will now cost $1.70 more at $46.81, while the 20-lb cylinder will move from $36.09 to $37.45 – some $1.36 more.

The Cabinet at its meeting on June 5, 2008, agreed to a mechanism to adjust prices in a more timely fashion, whereby prices will be adjusted monthly by the Ministry of Commerce and Trade on the advice of the Division of Energy.
