Prime Minister Freundel Stuart has congratulated the Government and people of St. Lucia on the celebration of the country???s 37th Anniversary of Independence.
In a recent letter to Prime Minister Dr. Kenny Anthony, Mr. Stuart referred to the strong bond the two countries share.
???Bound by history, and fortified by our cooperation at the bilateral and regional levels, the relationship between Barbados and St. Lucia continues to grow from strength to strength.???
???With your commitment to the cause of regional integration, and to the advancement of cooperation within the Caribbean Community, I am confident that the success of our joint efforts and aspirations will be reflected in the prosperity of our people,??? he said.
St. Lucia became an independent nation on February 22, 1979.
