The Index of Retail Prices for November 2015 stood at 167.4 points, representing a decline of 0.4 per cent when compared with the 168.0 points recorded the previous month.

According to data produced by the Barbados Statistical Service, increases were recorded for Medical and Personal Care by 1.0 per cent; Clothing and Footwear by 0.2 per cent; and Food as well as Education, Recreation and Miscellaneous by 0.1 per cent each.

Decreases were registered for Fuel and Light by 3.9 per cent; Transportation by 1.6 per cent; Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco by 0.4 per cent; Household Operations and Supplies by 0.3 per cent and Housing by 0.1 per cent.

Between November 2014 and November 2015, the Index of Retail Prices decreased by 2.8 per cent from 172.2 to 167.4 points. The average inflation rate for that period was 0.7 per cent.??
