Come Monday, June 4, civil aviation experts are expected to meet at the Savannah Hotel for the 33rd Session of the Eastern Caribbean Technical Working Group of the Directors of Civil Aviation.

The five-day meeting will also see the Eastern Caribbean Network Technical Group combined with Ad-hoc Groups (Centralised Flight Data System and Radar Data sharing) meeting for the third time.

Minister of International Business and International Transport, George Hutson is expected to deliver the feature address during the opening ceremony, which begins at 8:30 a.m.

The Eastern Caribbean Working Group was established by the International Civil Aviation Organisation to examine problems affecting airspace design, organisation, utilisation and management in the Eastern Caribbean area.

It also continuously examines problems affecting all areas in air navigation in the Eastern Caribbean.

To this end, a number of sub-committees were established to work on specified areas and report back to the relevant authorities.
