Efforts by the Labour Department to sensitise employers about labour laws and to highlight best practices which would promote a greater degree of cooperation between them and their employees, will continue next month.
It will take the form of a half-day seminar on Labour Legislation and Industrial Relations Best Practice, and will be held on Wednesday, November 3, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Ministry of Labour, 2nd Floor Warrens Office Complex, Warrens, St. Michael.
The Ministry recently amended the Health and Safety at Work Act and is in the process of revising other pieces of legislation to facilitate effective workplace management.?? kmoore@barbados.gov.bb
