The Community Independence Celebrations Secretariat’s (CICS) Lighting Ceremony is one of the activities on the cards to commemorate Barbados’ 44th anniversary of Independence.
Under the theme "Celebrating Our Heritage…Proud to be a Bajan", the much anticipated annual event, which is hosted by the CICS, will take place this Friday, November 26, at National Heroes Square in the City, from 5:30 p.m.
However, the traditional Bajan Brew which usually accompanies the ceremony will not take place this year the Lighting Ceremony.
