The Media Resource Department (MRD) will host two one-week workshops in the first two weeks of the summer vacation. These are workshops in the Production of Wooden Manipulatives and Webpage Design.

The workshop on Production of Wooden Manipulatives will be held in the Industrial Arts Department of the St. Leonard’s Boys’ School, Richmond Gap, St. Michael, from July 10 to July 14, and again on July 17 to July 21. The course starts at 9:00 a.m. and runs until 1:00 p.m. daily.

Introduction to Webpage Design runs from July 10 to July 14, and again July 17 to July 21, in the MRD’s Training Room at the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Elsie Payne Complex, Constitution Road, St. Michael.

This workshop is geared towards providing teachers with an introduction to key technical aspects of using HTML 5.0 and Cascading Style Sheets. The course begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at noon each day.

A closing ceremony for the first workshop will be on Friday, July 14, at the St. Leonard’s Boys’ School, while the ceremony for the second one will be held on Friday, July 21, in MRD’s Training Room. They both start at 1:00 p.m.
