Eden Lodge Nursery School will launch its Parent Education Support programme next Saturday, May 25, from 9:00 a.m. until noon at the school located in Eden Lodge, St. Michael.
Director of PAREDOS, Marcia Graham, and with a representative of UNICEF, Paul Forte, are expected to address the event.
Public Relations Officer for the school’s Parent Teachers’ Association (PTA), Scheryma Miller, said the Parent Education Support programme at the school was aimed at "strengthening parenting skills, building a support group for parents and guardians and fostering relationships between parents/guardians and the school".
Among the topics to be discussed during the launch will be The Role of the Family in Early Childhood Development and Myths and Facts About Child Abuse.
Parents/guardians as well as those in the community are invited to attend the launch.
