A range of issues pertinent to utilities management will be discussed, when the Barbados Fair Trading Commission hosts the 9th Annual OOCUR (Organisation of Caribbean Utility Regulators) Conference on Wednesday, November 2 at the Accra Beach Hotel, Hastings, Christ Church.

The three-day conference will bring together member state regulators from across the region and regulators associations from Europe, Africa and North America to address Regulation and Competition: The Impact and Value in the Caribbean.?? Various topics will be examined during the proceedings, including reform of the power sector, telecommunications trends; and water development issues, as well as the role of competitions within the utilities sector.

OOCUR’s members are the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States, the Bahamas, Dominica, the Turks and Caicos Islands, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Jamaica, Anguilla, Belize, Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago and Barbados.
