The importance of building stronger relations with Mexico, was underscored when outgoing Mexican Ambassador, Ricardo Villanueva, paid a farewell call on the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Christopher Sinckler.

Describing his tenure as "fruitful", the Ambassador said there was "room for improvement, especially in the area of trade."

In turn, the acting Foreign Minister agreed and noted that there was much scope to increase the level of cooperation at the bilateral level in areas such as security, capacity building, language training, agriculture as well as culture.
