The exploits of women on and off the field will come into sharp focus next week, when the Partners Forum – a precursor to the 9th Commonwealth Women’s Affairs Ministers Meeting – mounts an exhibition to celebrate their achievements.

The exhibition will get under way from Friday June 4, to Wednesday, June 9, at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre.

Patrons will get the opportunity to view a variety of eye-catching displays from Saturday, June 5, from 10 a.m to 7:00 p.m and Sunday, June 6 from 1:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., respectively. The thematic exhibits will feature women in sport, business, art, science and technology.??

There will be a multi-media presentation on women by the National Sports Council and the Barbados Olympic Association, respectively; while the National Organisation of Women will mount a photographic display depicting the four themes. In addition to these displays, the National Cultural Foundation will host a visual art exhibiton under the theme Women in Art; while the Division of Youth Affairs, will highlight women in digital media, nail technology and cake and pastry making.

The public will also get an opportunity to purchase the art on display as well as bags, health products, confectionary, artifacts, jewellery and craft .

The WAMM meeting will be held from Monday, June 7 to Wednesday, June 9.
