Telecommunications matters featured prominently when Prime Minister Freundel Stuart met recently at Ilaro Court with Chairman of Digicel, Denis O???Brien.
Those present included Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs, Christopher Sinckler; Minister of Industry and Commerce, Donville Inniss; Permanent Secretary in the PM???s Office, Sonja Welch; Deputy Chief Telecommunications Officer, Clifford Bostic; and Digicel???s Chief Executive Officer Designate, Conor Looney and Group Projects Director, Lisa Lewis.
Mr. O???Brien updated Mr. Stuart on the various projects Digicel was undertaking here, including the Wide Area Network (WAN) Project between Government and his company; and the fiber optics network. He also shared some of the company???s plans for the future.
Mr. Stuart thanked Mr. O???Brien for Digicel???s continued confidence in Barbados and for being a good corporate citizen.
