The Ministry of Social Care, Constituency Empowerment and Community Development is interested in hearing the public’s views on issues regarding national poverty reduction strategies.

To facilitate this consultation, it will host four Town Hall meetings across the island to disclose the findings of, and obtain feedback on, the Country Assessment of Living Conditions (CALC), which was conducted in 2010.

The meetings will begin tomorrow, Wednesday, April 11, at the Alexandra School, Speightstown, St. Peter, and continue on Thursday, April 12, at the Gall Hill Community Centre, St. John.

On Tuesday, April 17, the community meeting will move to the Princess Margaret Secondary School, Six Roads, St. Philip, while the final meeting will be held at the Queen’s Park Steel Shed, Bridgetown, St. Michael, on Wednesday, April 18. All meetings will begin at 7:00 p.m.

Further information on the CALC Town Hall Meetings, may be obtained by contacting the Ministry at 310-1620 / 1628 / 1629 / 1630. Information may also be obtained by visiting the websites www.socialcare.gov.bb/calc or www.facebook.com/barbadoscalc.
