Preliminary Findings On CALC To Be Released

The preliminary findings of the Country Assessment of Living Conditions (CALC) study which was undertaken during 2009 and 2010 will soon be released.

Minister of Social Care, Constituency Empowerment and Community Development, Steve Blackett, will disclose those findings when the House of Assembly meets next Tuesday, February 14.

To further deepen the level of public understanding of the methodology, results and future planning of the CALC, the Ministry will host a media briefing on Wednesday, February 15, in the 2nd Floor Conference Room, Warrens Office Complex, St. Michael, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.

CALC consultants from the Sir Arthur Lewis Institute for Social and Economic Studies and representatives from the Caribbean Development Bank will join representatives from the Ministry to deliver presentations and address issues related to the CALC.
