With summer and the expected increase in temperatures on the way, officials of the Psychiatric Hospital today gratefully received seven electrical fans from the Lions Club of St. Michael.

The fans will be in use in Ward C of the facility, which is home to 55 male patients.

President of the Club, Winston Farrell, explained that during a recent presentation ceremony of hydraulic bed lifts to the hospital, members of his club noticed the warm temperatures on the ward and responded to the need by supplying the fans.

Acting Hospital Director, David Leacock, in expressing thanks, said that the hospital welcomed private sector assistance, since it was not always possible for Government to fund everything.

The presentation was witnessed by staff and patients of the hospital.
