It’s Reading Week at the Blackman and Gollop Primary School.

The Staple Grove, Christ Church institution began its activities today with a Parents’ Workshop, and will continue tomorrow, Tuesday, October 24, with a reading fair for children, beginning at 9:30 a.m.

On Wednesday, October 25, there will be a lunch time ‘Open Mic’ session, where students will present self-penned poems/stories and their favourite short stories/poems to their peers and teachers.

The activities, which are being held under the theme: Reading Can Change the World, continue on Thursday, October 26, with guest appearances from parents who have been invited to visit and read to students.

The curtain comes down on Reading Week on Friday, October 27, with a “Movie Afternoon” in the School Library featuring the film: Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul, at 12:30 p.m.
