The National Disabilities Unit (NDU) of the Ministry of Social Care, Constituency Empowerment and Community Development is inviting the public to register for its sign language classes, beginning Tuesday, January 26, 2016, at the Irving Wilson School, The Pine, St. Michael.
The Basic I Level classes for adults will be conducted Mondays and Wednesdays and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
For further information and to register, persons should contact the NDU at 310-1650, or 310-1658, Mondays to Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Individuals may also register at the Irving Wilson School on Monday, January 18, or Wednesday, January 20, 2016, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The fee for the course is $100.
Meanwhile, facilitators of the sign language classes for children are invited to a planning meeting on Wednesday January 6, 2016, at the National Union of Public Workers??? Headquarters, Dalkeith, St. Michael, at 5:00 p.m.
