Registration Open For Emergency Medical Technician Course

Persons aspiring to be Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) are invited to register for an upcoming course at the Barbados Community College, starting Monday, May 13.

The Emergency Medical Technician provides basic and limited advanced medical care and transportation for critical and emergency patients who become suddenly ill, or are injured. The EMT course is a prerequisite to the paramedic programme.

Prospective applicants must have the following Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate General Proficiency passes – English Language, Mathematics, and either Biology or Human and Social Biology and two other subjects.

Application forms may be collected from the Office of the Registrar or downloaded from the College’s website. Registration closes on Friday, April 5. Prospective students will be interviewed.
