The National Conservation Commission will host a Farmers??? Market and Plant Propagation Workshop tomorrow, Saturday, November 23, at its Codrington, St. Michael headquarters.
The Farmers??? Market will run from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., while the Plant Propagation Workshop will run from 10:00 a.m. until noon.
The Farmers??? Market will provide a range of benefits for producers, consumers, the environment, the nearby community and the economy. Those benefits include a secure and regular market outlet for producers; direct contact and feedback for customers and producers, enabling customers to know exactly how their vegetables are grown; a reduction in packaging, resulting in less waste going to the landfill, and bring communities to life.
Meanwhile, all those attending the plant propagation workshop will have an opportunity to see basic methods and tools that could be used in the process. All are invited.??
