Examining ways to solidify the existing relationship between Barbados and Saudi Arabia was the focal point of discussion, when Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Abdulrahman Bin Abdulaziz Abanmy, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Freundel Stuart.
During the meeting at Ilaro Court recently, Prime Minister Stuart warmly welcomed the Ambassador to Barbados and pointed to Saudi Arabia’s economic prosperity and major ranking in the global arena.
In turn, Ambassador Bin Abdulaziz Abanmy was impressed not only with the island’s natural beauty, but also the enabling platform for investment.?? The Ambassador also spoke about the need for a Barbadian Embassy in Saudi Arabia to make it easier for Saudi residents who want to venture here.
Barbados and Saudi Arabia established diplomatic ties on December 17, 2007.
