Public schools across the island will re-open next week, following a break for the Christmas holidays.
School resumes on Monday, January 5, for teachers and Tuesday, January 6, for students.
The Hilary Term (Term II) will run for 13 weeks, and is expected to end on Wednesday, April 1 and Thursday, April 2, for students and teachers respectively.
The term will be marked, among other things, by African Awareness Month in February, Disability Month in March and continued preparations for the Barbados Secondary Schools??? Examination on Tuesday, May 5.
