Over the next few days, Parish Independence Committees and groups within the community will be staging a number of activities they want members of the public, especially those living in their districts, to support.

Jones Private School Independence "Do-Flicky" will be held tomorrow, Saturday, November 26, at Callender’s Court, Christ Church, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

On Wednesday, November 30, Independence Day, there will be sports and fun days at Newbury and Drax Hall Pavilion, St. George, beginning at 1:00 p.m.; and a fun and cultural day at Kendal Woods, St. John, starting at 2:00 p.m.

Also on that day, there will be a sports day at Annie’s Lime Tree Bar at Upper Carter’s Gap, a cultural and sports day at Silver Hill Hard Courts, a sports day at Oistins Bay Garden and a sports and cultural day at JB’s Car Park, all in Christ Church. Each event will begin at 10:00 a.m.

???Pun De Wicket" – Body and Mind Extravaganza will be held at Hoyte’s Village Playing Field, St. James; an independence fair at Field Place, Bayville, a sports day at Wildey Playing Field, all in St. Michael; and a community fair and fun day at the playing field at Greenidges, St. Lucy. They will all begin at 10:00 a.m.

There will also be a culture day in Queen’s Park and a fun day at the playing field at Connell Town, St. Lucy, both starting at 1:00 p.m. and a motorcade in St. Lucy, beginning at 2:00 p.m.
