The Small Business Development Unit of the Ministry of Industry, International Business, Commerce and Small Business Development will, on Friday, April 10, officially launch the Barbados Small Business Development Centre Network.

The event which will take place at the Grand Salle of the Central Bank of Barbados at 9:30 a.m. will see the unveiling of the Barbados Small Business Development Centre Network Logo and the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding at 10:45 a.m.

The Network will comprise the Barbados Investment Development Corporation (BIDC) and the Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme (YES) along with the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, as a partner.

Minister of Industry, International Business, Commerce and Small Business Development, Donville Inniss will deliver the feature address, while Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, Stephen Lashley will also deliver remarks.

Other remarks will be given by United States of America Ambassador, Larry Palmer; Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, Dr. Justin Robinson; Chief Executive Officer, Barbados Investment and Development Corporation, Sonja Trotman; Director of South West Texas Border Network, University of Texas, San Antonio, Albert Salgado and Representative of the Organisation of American States, Francis McBarnette.
