The St. George Parish Independence Committee will launch its project Economic Diversity, Keys to Progress with a panel discussion on the topics High Volatile Price of Oil; High Electricity Bill; and Linking Bagasse Energy with Sugar Productions… Are there opportunities in diversifying sugar production?
It will take place on Monday, June 27 at the Valley Resource Centre, Valley Land, St. George, starting at 7:30 p.m.
Panelists will include:?? the Minister with responsibility for Energy, Senator Darcy Boyce; Chairman of the Barbados Sugar Industries Limited, Dr. Atlee Brathwaite; Managing Director of the Barbados Light and Power, Peter Williams; and Manager of the Portvale Sugar Factor, Raphael Oneale.?? Chairman of the St. George Parish Independence Committee, Herbert Harewood, will serve as moderator.
