The St. Michael Parish Independence Committee (PIC) will host a Bajan Community Quiz, on Sunday, September 25, at the Ellerslie Secondary School, Black Rock, St. Michael, beginning at 5:00 p.m.
The quiz, which culminates the parish’s project activities for this year, will seek to disseminate the history of the village shop in Barbados.
The four shops identified in the project, entitled: The Village Shop: An Unsung Treasure, are Old City Bar, Elma’s Bar & Grocery, R.A. Mapp Bar & Rotisserie and Corner Kick Shop. Community groups and organisations from St. Michael will compete for a coveted challenge trophy.
