It’s sundown beach walk time again! ??
The Coastal Zone Management Unit (CZMU) is inviting the public to participate in yet another Sundown Beach/Coastline Walk, this time in the north of the island.
Slated to take place on Saturday, February 5, from 3:00 p.m., the trek will begin at Weston St. James and end at Port St. Charles, St. Peter.
Persons seeking bus transportation are asked to assemble at the CZMU’s Bay Street, St. Michael car park by 2:15 p.m., for a prompt 2:30 p.m. departure. Return transportation will also be provided to that location.
Bus tickets may be collected from the CZMU or Ministry of Tourism from Monday, January 24, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on weekdays. Tickets are limited and will, therefore, be available on a first come, first served basis.
The walk will be over rough terrain, and, as such, participants are advised to wear appropriate clothing, namely loose fitting clothes and walking shoes or sneakers. Close fitting attire, flip-flops and similar footwear are not advisable. Persons are also being instructed to come prepared to get wet.
Both tourists and locals are urged to come out and view the island from a different perspective, while learning more about our beautiful country.????
