In keeping with its bid to ensure that stakeholders in Government, civil society and members of the private sector are kept abreast of policies set out in the Amended Physical Development Plan 2003, the Town and Country Planning Office, in conjunction with the Barbados Tourism Investment Inc., will next month host a second symposium on this topic.

It will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at Sherbourne Conference Centre from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Senator Haynesley Benn, will deliver the feature address at the forum, which will include presentations on the Barbados National Park, Rural Settlements, Agriculture, Golf Courses and the Impact of Development on Water Resources.

Topics addressed during the first seminar included National Infrastructure, Centres and Mixed use Corridors, Urban Design Guidelines, Coastal Development, and Planning and Climate Change.
