Hon-Donville-InnissThe Honourable Donville O. Inniss was appointed Minister of Industry, International Business, Commerce and Small Business Development in March 2013. Prior to this appointment he served as Minister of Health from November 2008 until February 2013, and Minister of State, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Business from January – November 2008.

He has been the Member of Parliament for the constituency of St. James South since January 2008. Prior to entering elective politics, Mr. Inniss worked for 20 years in the public and private sector.

He has served as a Business Development Officer with the Barbados Investment and Development Corporation. He worked in the areas of Industrial Development, International Business and Export Promotion. He has served in South Korea and New York, USA (3 years).

Minister Inniss also served as CEO, Managing Director and Chairman of several international companies based in Barbados and for nine years operated his own management company catering to the international business sector. He has managed companies with operations in Latin America, Europe, Africa and Asia.

Mr. Inniss earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration, (MBA) in General Management and a Bachelor of Science Degree, in Public Administration from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus. He has also completed training in investment promotion, taxation, law and finance.

Mr. Inniss is married to Gail and they have two sons.
