Lodge Road Wesleyan Holiness Church will be the venue for the third town hall meeting aimed at sensitising Barbadians about the Ministry of Tourism’s new attraction, the "Barbados Slave Route Heritage Trail and Tour".

The meeting will be held next Thursday, August 5, from 7:00 p.m.

It will see representatives from the Ministry and the Barbados Museum and Historical Society (BMHS) answering queries from the community on the tour.

Conceptualised by the Ministry of Tourism, the "Barbados Slave Route Heritage Trail and Tour" is expected to provide tourists and locals alike with the opportunity to visit a number of sites in communities across Barbados that speak to the legacy of persons who endured some 200 years of slavery.

It is being executed by the BMHS on behalf of the Ministry. jgill@barbados.gov.bb
