The Barbados Investment and Development Cooperation (BIDC) is assisting three Barbadian companies to exhibit and promote their products and services at FIHAV 2018, a multi-sector trade expo held in Havana, Cuba.
The three companies are: Choo’s Enterprises, Valencia Ltd, and ENTEC Solar Electrical Systems Inc. They will exhibit from Monday, October 29, to Friday, November 2, in the Caribbean Pavilion of FIHAV.
Choo’s Enterprises produces high-quality herbs and spices, exotic spice blends and condiments. Valencia Ltd manufactures yogurt dips and Greek yogurt, under the brand, ‘Brand Fea’.
ENTEC Solar Electrical Systems Inc. is a commercial photovoltaic provider of comprehensive, renewable energy solutions made from utility-scale PV. They also do storage deployments to advanced smart grid services.
The companies, which exhibited at FIHAV in 2017, established contacts and gained insights into the Cuban market.
By participating in FIHAV 2018, the businesses recognise this solidifies their interest in doing business with Cuba and hope to continue to utilize these types of opportunities as part of their entry strategy into new markets.
In addition to exhibiting, the Barbadian companies will also seek to establish commercial contacts, exchange experiences and receive updates on new technological developments.
The FIHAV is expected to receive over 150,000 visitors, including high-level foreign officials and business delegations.
