Students from St. Philip Primary School will participate in guided tours of the Bowmanston Pumping Station in St. John and a recording studio in St. Joseph on Wednesday, October 4, conducted by environmental health officers.

Senior Environmental Health Officer at the David Thompson Health and Social Services Complex, Richard Bourne, will host the Class 4 students at a recording studio at Lammings, St. Joseph, from 9:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

There they will learn how the studio operates, voice technique and how to make a CD recording in preparation for a jingle competition among primary schools in which they will participate.

They will then travel to Bowmanston Pumping Station at 10:45 a.m., where they will see the process which enables potable drinking water to get to the taps.

The environmental health officers will then host a picnic at Bath Beach, St. John, for the students.
