Barbadians are being encouraged to apply for the post of Director in the Division of Cultural Expressions & Heritage within the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Paris, France.

The successful candidate will be under the authority of the Assistant Director -General for Culture in the Culture Sector, and will be responsible for formulating, planning, executing and evaluating the division’s programme.

The qualifications required include an advanced university degree, preferably at Ph.D. level, in a field relating to law or cultural studies, or other equivalent professional experience relating to these fields. The individual should also have at least 10 to 15 years of professional experience at the international level and proven managerial ability. A working knowledge of English and French are also necessary.
