The University of the West Indies, in collaboration with the Barbados Museum and Historical Society, will be holding a series of working group sessions to better understand how to protect the Outstanding Universal Value (OUV) of historic Bridgetown and its Garrison.

The first session takes place on Tuesday, March 27, in the conference room of the Town and Country Development Planning Office, the Garrison, St. Michael, starting at 9:00 a.m.

The objectives of the seminar are to evaluate the OUV of historic Bridgetown and its Garrison; evaluate their role in the protection, management and enhancement of the property’s OUV; generate ideas for projects that will help protect, manage and/ or enhance the property’s OUV.

Two sessions will be held per month over the next 12 months for stakeholders drawn from agencies such as the Barbados Tourism Investment Inc, the Tourism Development Corporation, the Barbados Hotel and Tourism Association and the Barbados National Trust.
