The Modernisation of the Barbados Statistical Service’s Project will come under the microscope when a half-day workshop is held to examine its achievements and the way forward tomorrow, Wednesday, November 2, at Baobab Tower, Warrens, St. Michael.

The Government of Barbados and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) will host the ‘Project Exit Workshop’. Minister of Finance, Christopher Sinckler, will deliver the feature address during the opening ceremony, while Permanent Secretary, Seibert Frederick; and the IDB Representative, Camilo Gomez, will give remarks.

There will be presentations by Senior Specialist – IDB, Mariko Russell; Final Evaluation Consultant, Christine Scott-Dunkley, who will examine Project Achievements – Lessons Learnt; and Adviser at the Central Bank of Barbados,  Celeste Wood, who will look at The Way Forward.

This project was funded by the IDB to strengthen the BSS’ ability to provide relevant, timely and quality economic and social statistics.
