The Director-General of the World Trade Organization (WTO), Roberto Azev?do, met with members of the private sector while on a short visit to the island last week.
During the meeting, which was organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, the Director-General and business persons discussed WTO regulations and how Barbadian business persons could best operate to enhance trade opportunities.
The talks were held at the Ministry???s Culloden Road headquarters.
Representing the business community were Executive Director of the Barbados Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Lisa Gale; Executive Director of the Barbados Coalition of Service Industries, Lisa Cummins; and Trade Research Officer with the Barbados Private Sector Trade Team, Shardae Boyce.
