Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs, Senator Jepter Ince. (FP)

Barbados’ development over the years will come under the microscope when the Economic Affairs Division’s 10th Annual Lecture-Seminar  takes place this Friday, November 18, at the Baobab Tower, Warrens, St. Michael.

The theme of the half-day seminar is Barbados’ Development Over the Past 50 Years: Achievements, Challenges and Future Prospects, and it is in recognition of this island’s 50th Anniversary of Independence.

Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs, Senator Jepter Ince, will deliver remarks, and a special presentation of a plaque will be made to Sir Frank Alleyne.

During the seminar, there will be presentations by Sir Frank, as well as Head of the Economics Department at the University of the West Indies, Professor Winston Moore. Representatives of the Ministry of Finance, the Barbados Workers’ Union and the private sector will also engage in a panel discussion later in the day
