Members of the public are being encouraged to come out in their numbers to the fifth annual 4Rs Fair slated for Saturday, February 16, at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre beginning at 10:00 a.m. under the theme: Partnerships for a More Sustainable Barbados.

Hosted by the Solid Waste Project Unit, it will feature a number of events, including workshops to teach individuals how to recycle and reuse their garbage. There will also be a mini flea market with previously-owned and new items for sale.

In addition, the National Conservation Commission is expected to hold its usual plant sale during the event. Plants for sale will include Crotons, Hisbiscus, Schefflera, Desert Roses, Boston Ferns and short Palm Trees.

There will also be activities for the children, including the popular Waste Buster game which will teach them about discarding garbage properly, advise them against littering and encourage them to recycle.

During the event, there will be lots of prizes to be won.
