The Vector Control Unit of the Ministry of Health will next week fog areas in St. Joseph, St. Andrew, St. Michael, St. James and St. Thomas, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. each day.
On Monday, August 27, fogging will take place in the St. Joseph districts of Braggs Hill, Sugar Hill, Yearwood Road, Chimborazo, Lammings, Airy Hill, St. Bernard’s Village, Mellows Hill and the environs.?? The following day, Tuesday, August 28, the team will spray Haggatts, Belleplaine, Lakes, East Coast Road, Douglin Road, Jordan’s Road, Isolation Road, Walkers, Bawden’s, Shorey Village and the surrounding areas in St. Andrew.
The following in areas in St. Michael, will be sprayed on Wednesday, August 29:?? Martinique Road, My Lord’s Hill, Government Hill, Brankers Gap, Gittens Road, Mayers Road, Rogers Road, Ivy Road, Back Ivy (with avenues), Skeetes Road (with avenues), Hoytes Road, Howells + Road, Pinder’s Gap, Deans Land, Proute Road and the environs.
On Thursday, August 30, fogging operations will move to Holetown, Trents, James Town, Greenwich Village, Sunset Crest, Salters Road, Molyneux and Seaview in St. James.?? Finally, on Friday, August 17, the team will move to Arthur Seat, Jackson, Browne’s Gap, Melrose and Cane Garden in St. Michael and St. James.??
Householders are asked to assist in the elimination of the aedes aegypti mosquito by opening windows and doors to allow the fog to penetrate, while persons with respiratory problems should protect themselves from inhaling the fog. Pedestrians and motorists should proceed with caution when encountering fogging operations on the street, and parents should prevent their children from playing in the fog or from running behind the fogging machine.??
